Graduate of the Trinity-Pawling School, Moravian College and U.S.A. Professional National Training and Camping Schools. Served as a Scout Executive and Area Director with the Boy Scouts of America. Earned a proven record of fund raising, marketing camps and creating innovative programs in the Mid-Atlantic States by directing 8 Scout Camps and 11 National Camping Schools, planning new camp sites and buildings, directing and marketing the Adirondack National High Adventure Area, and obtaining necessary monies for camp expansions. Bob has been published in Camp Management Magazine and Camp Business. He is an ACA Standards Lead Visitor in the Virginia Section. He was honored with the Outstanding Service Award by the Virginia Section. He is an Eagle Scout and holder of the Silver Beaver and serves on the Heart of Virginia Council BSA, Executive Board and Southern Region, Area 7 Committee Camp Visitations Chairman. Bob is an active Rotarian having been Club President, Rotary Club of Wayne, PA and in District 7600, VA was District Governor, 2005-2006. He also received the coveted "Service Above Self" Award from Rotary International 2011.
Maile S. Armstrong, CCD

Maile Armstrong is the former camp director of Camp Mawavi, Camp Potomac Woods and Camp Virginia Jaycee and has worked in staff positions at Camp Friendship, YMCA Camp Letts and Camp Chanco. Maile has also directed a day care center and managed a Christian Education program. She is a graduate of Old Dominion University and a Certified Camp Director from the American Camp Association. She is a Visitor and Standards Instructor and the Standards Chair, for the American Camp Association, Virginias Section and the President of the Friends of the Montvale Library. Maile teaches First Aid and CPR and advises camps on the issues, training and purchase of AEDs. Maile has spent her professional career in youth development and has significant experience in supervising and training staff for camps, day care centers and youth programs and in managing facilities and supervising risk management.
Terry W. Coffman

Terry Coffman is recently retired as Scout Executive/CEO of the Shenandoah Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, having served 34 years in BSA career service in Richmond, Waynesboro and Winchester, Virginia and Valdosta, Georgia. He is a native of Alleghany County, Virginia and is a graduate of D. S. Lancaster Community College (Forest Technology) and Eastern Mennonite College (Sociology). A graduate of the BSA National Executive Institute, he has attended numerous courses in personnel management, budgeting, properties development, volunteer cultivation and diverse program implementation.
Terry has over 40 years camp staffing and directing experience, 24 of which have been in camp director or administrator capacities. His experience includes Boy Scout and Cub Scout resident and Day Camp leadership and has he has also staffed church and disabilities specialty camps for both youth and adults He served as project manager and staff advisor to the planning and construction of the state of the art $5 million Cub Scout Adventure Camp in Goochland, VA and led renovation and construction at three other camps in Georgia and Virginia.
Education and training are passions for Terry. He has attended, instructed at and directed 9 BSA National Camping Schools and has served on faculty at Philmont Training Center and the BSA Center for Professional Development faculty. Camp staff training, retreat leadership and civic/ church teaching are among his experiences.
Terry is married to the Rev Donna Coffman and together they have two children and 5 grandchildren, all of whom are in Scouting and are avid campers. He is an Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow, Rotarian (Paul Harris Fellow), US Army veteran, and has 55 continuous years in Scouting (youth, volunteer, and professional).

Gerriann Cotter, RN, LNC

Gerri Cotter is a registered nurse and legal nurse consultant and has been associated with camps in the Adirondack Mountains of New York for over twenty-five years. Gerri has been a camp nurse for ten years whose responsibilities includes staff training in such areas as infection control, use of AED's, and management of life threatening allergies. She has been directly involved in the development and updates of protocols and procedures. Gerri is a graduate of Ellis Hospital School of Nursing in Schenectady, New York, and the Legal Nurse Consulting Institute in Richmond, Virginia. As a legal nurse consultant, Gerri is able to help define and interpret standards of practice and has the ability to identify areas of concern regarding risk and liability. She has a strong educational and experiential background , making her qualified to assess adherence to standards of practice as they apply to the health maintenance program in a camp setting. Gerri has served as a liaison between the legal and healthcare communities, providing consultation and education to camp administration. The areas of her practice include assessment, analysis and issue identification, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Gerri has been a registered nurse for over thirty-seven years, and has extensive clinical experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient acute care cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, home care, pediatric and adult hospice home care. She also teaches certified nursing assistants in a vocational education center in the adult education department.
Gerri is married to Bill Cotter, a retired human resources director for the state of New York. Together, they return annually to Camp Treetops, Bill as the boathouse director, fishing program and transportation coordinator, and Gerri as the junior camp nurse. Bill and Gerri are the parents of three adult children, who all have been campers, counselors, and supporters of camping.
Greg Doran

Before joining The Camp Doctor team, Greg Doran served for 30 years as the Director of Operations for River Valley Ranch and a member of the senior management team of the Peter & John Radio Fellowship. During that time period Greg was involved in areas of development and fund raising as well as operations, retail sales, and marketing. Graduating from B.P.I. with a specialty in engineering, Greg brings many years of experience in land and camp development as well as the knowledge of operating a highly successful camp and organization. During his tenure the camp attendance increased by 55% and the revenue 60%.
Greg also served as a member of the board as well as government relations officer for the CCCA Mid-Atlantic section. He has been a workshop presenter, and is highly respected throughout the camping community for his successful ideas. Is addition to Greg's clients in camping, he works with commercial businesses in marketing and organizational development. Greg and his wife Stacey along with their 4 children live in central Maryland.
William (Bill) Givler, III

William Givler graduated from West Chester University, West Chester, Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Education. He taught special education in public school for five years before entering the career service of the Boy Scouts of America. To date he has spent thirty-nine years on a summer camp staff, twenty-four of those years as camp director in three different states. For thirty-one years, Givler was in charge of the year-round operation of a Scout reservation, responsible for the budgets, maintenance, and full and part time staff. He developed and controlled a half million dollar budget for this operation.
Givler has attended twelve Boy Scouts of America National Camp Schools, eight as a student, and four as an instructor, in both the management and program sections. He has hosted three additional National Camp Schools in camps that he was directing.
Givler has been part of the construction and development of two camps, working as the adviser to volunteer committees. He has served on the Governor's Legislative Committee on Camp Policies for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has attended a week-long environmental work- shop sponsored by the Garden Clubs of Virginia at the Nature Camp in Vesuvius, Virginia. He has developed, working with volunteer committees, five long range strategic plans for both camp properties and programs. Bill is a Rotarian in the Rotary Club of Mechanicsville, VA.
His expertise is in camp property, programs, and staff development with an emphasis on food service and environmental issues.
Marcia B. Meador

Marcia Meador has recently retired from a successful career with Cooperative Extension working in the areas of youth and adult development and camping for 32 years in Virginia, Florida and Maine. She has served as a camp director, extension agent, and most recently a district program leader. Marcia is an active volunteer with the American Camp Association (ACA), serves as a lead Standards Visitor and serves on the section Board of Directors where she has held a number of leadership positions including Vice-President Programs, President Elect and Legislative Chair. She has presented a variety of creative and interactive workshops at international, national and state level venues.
Marcia has extensive experience working with nonprofit boards, volunteer development, staff development, teaching styles, grantsmanship, outcome based program development and evaluation, logic model development, team development, teaching styles, risk management, civil rights/EEO/ADA and youth development. Marcia provided leadership to a non-profit camp as it successfully transitioned from a summer camp to a sustainable year-round facility.
She completed ACA Basic Camp Development Course and Camp Director Institute and a graduate of the Virginia Collaborative Leaders Program. Marcia has a MS from the University of Florida and a BS from the University of Maine. She is an active Ruritan, 4-H volunteer, and volunteers for the Virginia Capitol Trails and breast cancer events.

Throughout his career, Bob Meadows has worked in various 4-H leadership positions in West Virginia, North Carolina, and Virginia, served as Virginia's 4-H Camping and Staff Development Specialist, and most recently served as the State 4-H Leader for Virginia. His involvement with 4-H included providing leadership for 190,000 youth and over 21,000 volunteers throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as leadership for Virginia's six all-year-round 4-H educational centers involving over 25,000 participants annually. Bob is a graduate of West Virginia University (B.A. and M.A. - Education Administration) and Virginia Tech (Ed.D. in Education Administration), the Kellogg Youth Developers Institute, and was recently awarded Emeritus status with Virginia Tech. He has conducted state, national, and international training sessions dealing with youth and adult programming. As an educator and trainer, Bob has a successful background in camping and is responsible for providing leadership for ACA accreditation of Virginia's six 4-H educational centers; fund raising; program development and marketing; and staff development for both salaried and volunteer staffs. Bob has spent his professional career in youth development both as an elementary school teacher and positive 4-H youth development specialist and state leader. His experiences include conducting training and presentations to colleges and universities; school systems; businesses and companies; camps and recreation centers; and churches and civic groups. He is a member of the American Camp Association and the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents.
The Rev. William (Bill) B. Taylor, Jr.

Bill has worked for the last 35 years in the camping industry as a counselor, program director, director, and executive director. He was employed for10 years as Director of Youth Ministries in the Diocese of Southern Virginia, 10 years as Director of Camp Chanco in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia, and 5 years as Executive Director of Chanco on the James Camp and Conference Center. Bill has demonstrated a proven professional record by increasing the occupancy rate at the camp and conference center by 10 % in 5 years, developing effective marketing strategies, assessing critical risk management issues, creating unique hospitality materials and personnel training, forging strategic plans, managing major facility construction and food service enhancements, expanding camper program opportunities, and achieving summer camp accreditation through the American Camp Association. Bill is has been a member of the American Camp Association for 17 years and has served as an ACA Standards Lead Visitor in the Virginias Section.
Bill is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a B.A. in History and Virginia Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree. Bill also has a certificate of continuing studies at St. George's College in Jerusalem and the Clergy Leadership Institute. Bill along with his wife Kathy and son Bryce live near Smithfield, Virginia. He is an Episcopal priest currently serving as Priest-in-Charge of St. John's Episcopal Church in Hopewell, Virginia.
Bill's areas of expertise are church camping, outdoor ministry, hospitality management, facility and program development, risk management, and youth.
Joseph A. Toelle II

A native of south Texas, he earned a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M in Wildlife Ecology. Joe finished a twelve year tour with the U.S. Navy as the Director of the Navy's Flight Instructor Training Centers under the Chief of Naval Air Training. While serving with the Navy, he earned his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and ABD in Operations Research. He then entered the exploration, operations, and production sector of the petroleum industry, then later moved to the financial sector with Bank of America and Wells Fargo. As a senior petroleum engineer, Joe put his engineering and minerals management experience to work for bank portfolios and institutional trust assets.
Engineering services in project and facilities management for the Boy Scout of America was a natural progression for a former youth member and long time volunteer. Joe served professionally as senior management staff for properties in the National Capital Area Council and Philadelphia's Cradle of Liberty Council of the Boy Scouts of America. This work culminated as assistant project engineer for the Boy Scout's National Jamboree at Fort A. P. Hill, Virginia in 2005.

John is the Executive Director of Continuing and Corporate Education at Mountwest Community and Technical College in Huntington, West Virginia. A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY, where he earned a BS in Marine Transportation, he spent 32 years as an officer in the US Coast Guard, the US Navy, and the Merchant Marine. After sailing in the Merchant Marine as Captain of oceangoing vessels, in 2001 he left the sea and began a career as an educator. He received an MS in Adult and Technical Education and an EdS in Curriculum and Instruction from Marshall University, and is currently ABD for a Doctorate in Education.
John has been active in both Boy Scout and Girl Scout camping for over 40 years. He is the former Camp Director of Skymont Scout Reservation (BSA) in Tennessee and the former Camp Director of Camp Adahi (GSUSA) in Georgia. He has attended three BSA National Camping Schools, and currently is the Program director for Camp Arrowhead (BSA) in West Virginia. He is the Scoutmaster of Troop 74 in Tornado, WV, a Committee Member for Troop 283 in Scott Depot, WV, an Assistant District Commissioner in Buckskin Council, the Council Training Committee Chair in Tri-State Area Council, and the Vice-Commodore for Training in Task Force 4, Central Region Sea Scouts.
John lives in Scott Depot, WV, with his wife Beth, two very spoiled dogs, three sugar gliders, and a parrot. (What's a sailor without a parrot?) John and Beth have four children between them, plus three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

After retiring from successful careers in the Telecom, Comsat, Submarine Cable Industries, Pete stopped his international travels working as a Director of Operations and Maintenance for Alcatel, (Directorate, North, Central and South America), and focused on his passion for building better, more productive, cost effective and realistic camping experiences. Three decades experience working with the Boy Scouts of
America in the creation and development of the National Jamboree Site at A. P. Hill, Virginia led to full time employment with that endeavor.
He was the BSA Senior Project Engineer for the 2005, National Scout Jamboree. His skills with conceptualization, construction, and operational experience were used to cost effectively and safely build temporary facilities for a 40,000 person city. Upon retirement, from BSA, he worked as the Jamboree Engineer Coordinator for the U. S. Army during the 2010 National Jamboree. In this capacity he focused on protection of assets, land management and environmental issues.
Pete uses all of his talents and energy to build new and improving existing camps that provide profitable camping experiences yielding material gain for owners, employees, volunteer staff, guests and visitors. Working with the BSA National Properties Division and completing multiple campsite visits allowed him to constructively remediate problems using his experience in OSHA, EPA, Hazardous Materials and Disposal, Environmental Issues, Project and Construction Management.
Pete has been a trainer in OSHA Standards, experienced Realtor, property Manager, Dale Carnegie Trainer, Deming trained TQ Manager, Trainer in High and Low Challenge Courses, ISO-BSI Lead Auditor and General Safety Inspector. He has a MS in Managerial Leadership and a BA in Business
management.
He is a native Virginian farmer with a love for heirloom plants, antique fruit trees and a passion for heritage breed livestock. He has served as Chairman for the Lenhok'sin High Adventure camp at the Goshen Scout reservation and led National and International High Adventure Treks.
