TCDI offers training and consultation services for camp health care personnel in the forms of risk management, infection control, emergency response, HIPPA privacy regulations, as well as general advice regarding management of triage of injuries and illness, including organization of medication administration. Training can include such topics as wilderness first aid to ordering of supplies in the most economic and practical method possible.
ACA standards are interpreted and assistance is given on a case by case basis in the implementation of a working model for the individual campís needs. General staff training can be supplied or facilitated to comply with standards in the areas of recognition of abuse, behavior management, and working with children with various psychosocial adjustment difficulties, including eating disorders. Training can help counselors recognize the need to pace themselves and recognize physical and emotional burnout before the effects influence their ability to work effectively with campers.
Our associate can work with dietary staff in establishing a firm knowledge of food allergies and protocols regarding food handling in the presence of such allergies. Various dietary modifications are addressed, as well, giving staff a greater understanding and accountability in the needs of the camper population.
